OFT’s Fall After School Workshop

A Cinderella Story

Sept. 29- Oct. 26, 2014

A 2014-15 ALL Youth Production!

ALL rehearsals and performances will be held at our new location- 612 4th Ave E in Downtown Olympia.  Workshop tuition is offered on a sliding scale from $100- $250.  Story adapted and program directed by Kate Ayers.  Performances are Oct. 23- 26.  Thursday’s show is a free preview for families.  Registration and more information will be available soon!

OFT Education Mission: OFT is your community partner in raising imaginative, loving, joyful and confident children.  Our educational programs provide opportunities for personal development for young people, teaching creativity and responsibility, encouraging teamwork and personal integrity, and fostering self-esteem and appreciation for the performing arts.

Director’s Bio:

Kate Ayers has toured extensively throughout the Midwest performing in educational theatre programs in schools and museums. She has written curriculum for theatre based programming and has 20+ years teaching experience ranging from pre-schoolers to university students. As Artistic Director of the Indianapolis Children’s Theatre, Inc, (90-97), Kate was active in all areas of educational theatre from playwriting, teaching, and directing. Ms Ayers ran the Theatre program at the Indiana Women’s Prison for 10 years, studied at the Goodman Theatre School, and graduated at Columbia and the Playback School at Vassar. She has her Masters in Applied Sociology and uses theatre for business management training, and team building. Kate has appeared in Olympia Family Theater productions Goodnight Moon, Go, Dog. Go!, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, and Lyle the Crocodile.  Most recently for OFT, she directed Cinder Edna She is the director of OFT’s daytime programs including the school touring group: “On the Move”.
