The Hundred Dresses
March 15- 31, 2019
Recommended for Age 7 and up
A poignant tale of bullies, and bystanders, The Hundred Dresses tells the story of a Polish immigrant Wanda Petronski whose classmates tease her. Author Eleanor Estes was inspired by a little girl she remembered from her own childhood. Wanda’s classmate Maddie realizes that allowing her friend to be a bully can be just as bad as acting that way herself. Maddie stands up to her classmates and makes an unlikely friend in the process.
