Co-Founder
Samantha is a long time educator and co-founder of Olympia Family Theater. She is an Advanced Language Arts teacher at NOVA Middle School. She was first bitten by the performance bug at 8, and has had it ever since. She studied theater in a variety of places including The Evergreen State College, The American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, Freehold Theater in Seattle, and with UMO on Vashon Island. She is also a singer, pianist, and plays guitar. She has led a variety of camps and directed numerous shows for OFT, including many with young cast members, such as Charlotte’s Web, James and The Giant Peach (twice), Little Women, and Korczak’s Children. She also directed OFT’s first production of A Year With Frog and Toad, Animal Farm, and The Wrestling Season. Her last turn onstage was in OFT’s Our Only May Amelia.
