Rachel Carlson

Education Director

Rachel Carlson (she/her) is absolutely thrilled to be a part of the OFT team. Originally from Seattle, WA, Rachel has been an actor, writer, director, and teaching artist for more than a decade. She has been a teaching artist at Seattle Children’s Theatre, Youth Theatre Northwest, Village Theatre KIDSTAGE, and Stone Soup Theatre before making her way to OFT. Some of Rachel’s favorite past directing credits include Romeo & Juliet (2013), and The Crucible (2015) at Bellevue High School, The Lion King Kids (2019) and The Little Mermaid (2020) at Wilder Elementary School,  Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse (2018) and Radio Drama (2018-2020) at Youth Theatre Northwest. When she is not at the theater, or in the classroom, you can find Rachel spending time with her fiance, Travis, and dog Ranger, belting out musical numbers, playing disc golf, watercolor painting, and watching true crime documentaries.
