Olympia Family Theater is seeking a permanent Education Manager!

Strong background as a theater educator required. Experience managing instructors preferred. Experience with ArtsPeople digital platform a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a supportive and safe environment aimed at the well-being of youth, participants, staff, and volunteers
  • Communicate appropriately and effectively with staff, parents, students, and community members
  • Work closely with teachers and OFT Staff to identify issues any program participants are having and develop appropriate solutions
  • Ensure classroom management support for all camps and classes
  • Hire and manage education staff, including teachers and teaching assistants
  • Provide training and mentorship to teachers and teaching assistants
  • Collaborate with OFT Staff to devise engaging content for K-12 students for all of OFT’s educational programming
  • Provide on-site support for teaching artists, including maintaining on-site hours during scheduled camps and classes
  • Provide high quality customer service to participants and families, both adults and youth
  • Primary administrator of the Arts People system for all classes, camps and special programs

 

Compensation:

This position will be 30 hours per week, and compensated at $25 per hour. We are unable to offer health benefits at this time.
