Join Our (OF)Teen Leadership Council

Olympia Family theater is launching a brand new youth leadership program for our 2022-2023 season: the (OF)Teen Leadership Council! This year-long program is designed for 9th-12th grade students who are interested in performance opportunities, leadership roles, taking masterclasses, principles of social justice and ethical storytelling, and learning the business of running a nonprofit arts organization.

Throughout the year, this cohort will devise an original theatrical performance. With assistance from master teaching artists, youth will select the theme and style of the performance, and write an original script.

While devising this work, the Teen Leadership Council will also participate in decision making conversations with our Artistic Director, Board of Directors and other staff members, to learn about the behind the scenes workings of running a nonprofit theater.
