General Auditions for the 2022-23 Season
Olympia Family Theater is holding general auditions for our 2022-2023 season. We are offering 8-minute audition appointments, one-on-one. We will also accept video submissions: you can choose in-person or video when you fill out our sign up form. In addition to General Auditions, OFT will hold one night of auditions specific to each show in our season.
UPDATE: All audition appointments are booked! But you may still submit your audition via video OR email to be added to an audition notification list for specific productions you are interested in. We want to meet you!

We are looking for a youth to play the lead, and a variety of actors who enjoy energetic physical comedy.
SOLSTICE
Co-production with String & Shadow Puppet Theater

We are looking for actors and youth interested in puppetry, and especially excited to see folks who also play an instrument.
SOMETHING HAPPENED IN OUR TOWN

Feb 10 – Feb 26
We are looking for a very diverse cast, including one Black family (parents and two sons) and one white family. We also need a multicultural group of youth to play schoolmates. This play deals with serious content and actors should be ready to have a variety of thoughtful conversations within the creative team about racial justice.

We are looking for two strong adult actors with experience in physical theater and storytelling. We also need a group of youth.
ALICE IN WONDERLAND (MUSICAL)

We are looking for a cast of folks, including youth, with experience in physical theater/movement and an ability to sing.
Prepare for the following in your audition:
- A conversation. We want to get an idea of the stories that spark your imagination and how you like to collaborate.What stories do you want to see yourself in? What about these stories draws you in? What questions do you have for us?
- A monologue or passage of text from the media of your choice. This could be from a book, play, movie, TV show, or any piece of media where the character speaking has a direct listener in mind. Please keep your selection under one and a half minutes in length.
- For video auditions. Prepare an introduction to yourself, the stories that excite you, and how you like to collaborate. Prepare a monologue or passage per the instructions above. Total video time should be less than 5 minutes.
All experience levels are welcome, and preference will be given to local artists.
Everyone working at Olympia Family Theater is required to be vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination upon hiring. Medical exemptions are allowed on a case by case basis.
