Dragons Love Tacos

Dragons Love Tacos

November 4 – November 20 2022

A whimsical and fiery play based on the popular children’s book by Adam Rubin.

Written by: Ernie Nolan

Directed by: Kate Arvin

Run time: 50 minutes.

When young Leroy starts learning about Dragonology – the oldest of all the natural sciences – he could never expect the fiery consequences. Buy Tickets:

Tickets are selling as fast as hot tacos!
We always hold some tickets back for day-of sales. If a show is marked as ‘sold out’ for online sales, there will still be a handful of tickets available at the door, 1 hour before the performance.

We have added an extra show at 5pm on Sunday November 20th!

*Masks are strongly encouraged, but not required for classes or shows on Fridays and Saturdays. However, we will require masks at all Sunday performances at the theater to ensure greater accessibility for more people. Read the full health and safety policy below.

Ticket Policies:

ACCESS FOR ALL TICKETING!!

We believe that access to art is a human right – which is why we are piloting an ACCESS FOR ALL ticketing initiative for ALL SHOWS THIS SEASON.

Producing theater costs money, and ticket sales play a huge role in our ability to sustain our work! However, we also understand that financial times are tough for everyone, and we want to keep our place accessible to all families. That is why we save 10 tickets for walk up purchase at the box office starting one hour before each performance. These tickets can be purchased at any price that fits your budget, including free.

  • Zero cost ACCESS FOR ALL tickets can only be obtained at the box office
1 hour prior to each performance.
  • 10 Access for All tickets will be available at the box office for in-person pick up for each performance!
  • Box Office opens 1 hour prior to each performance, on the day of that performance.
    (limit 4 tickets per group).

All ticket sales are final. Tickets cannot be refunded.

Something come up? Tickets may be exchanged for another performance, as long as seats are still available. Tickets may be exchanged before the show for an exchange fee of $3 per ticket, but not after the performance date has passed.

In the event that you are ill, please stay home! We will gladly exchange your tickets to another performance of the same show with no fee.

Patrons can use a link in their ticket confirmation email to do a self-exchange or contact our box office.

You may also gift your tickets to anyone else who would like to use them.

Tickets may also be released and donated back to the theater. A tax receipt for your donation is available upon request.

Walk-up tickets are available the day of the performance in person at our box office, 1 hour prior to that performance.

Walk-up tickets are limited to 4 tickets per group.

OFT’s Commitment to Health and Safety in Our Theater

OFT is dedicated to creating a safe environment for our audiences and staff as we welcome you to our theater. Currently, we are moving forward with the following COVID-19 protocols:

(1) Masks are strongly encouraged, but not required for classes or shows on Fridays and Saturdays. However, we will require masks at all Sunday performances at the theater to ensure greater accessibility for more people.

(2) We are not currently requiring proof of vaccination.

(3) We ask that you please stay home if you are feeling unwell. We are happy to offer to reschedule your tickets – for free – if you are feeling unwell. Together, we can keep everyone safe.

**Please note: We are continuing to closely monitor COVID case counts, new variants, and community health guidelines. We reserve the right to change our current policies at any time for the health and safety of our community. We appreciate your patience as we continue to navigate these unprecedented times.**

More details about our in-person camp health and safety policy.

We are monitoring the guidance of the Thurston County Department of Public Health and Social Services, the Washington State Department of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and we ask that you do the same. As new information comes in from them, we will be updating the impact to our programs and productions.

Finally, we know that the choice to be vaccinated is complicated and multifaceted. We encourage everyone to demonstrate compassion and actively help to combat incidents of bias or social stigma.

Generally power does not go out in downtown Olympia. If our actors and technicians can make it to the theater, we’re doing the show. If things get really bad and we simply can’t stage the performance, we will notify ticket holders as soon as we possibly can and do everything possible to transfer tickets to a later date. If there are no tickets left for that particular production, ticket holders will receive vouchers for tickets to any other Olympia Family Theater production.
