CACTUS/TACOS NARRATOR AUDITIONS

Combined Auditions for narrator characters in DRAGONS LOVE TACOS and The Girl Who Swallowed a Cactus.
Wednesday August 31st, 5:30-7:30pm

Because these two characters have similar energy, we are hosting a special night just for narrator auditions. If you cannot attend these auditions but feel passionate about auditioning, contact and we may be able to schedule you an individual time. If you attended the General Auditions, did not get called back for these shows, but are strongly interested in this production, you are more than welcome to attend.
Information about these two characters and their shows is as follows…

DRAGONS LOVE TACOS!

Directed by Kate Arvin

October 4th and will generally be Tuesday-Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons.

Opening night: November 4th
Performances will be on Fridays at 7, Saturdays at 3 and 7, and Sundays at 3pm.

Closing night: November 20th

Role: Man In Suit Also Moxy CLean Guy and Telenovela Character

The BIG speaking role of the show. This showboaty, MC, narrator, host, charismatic, salesperson, fount-of-enthusiasm character will deliver 95% of the text of this play. There are no age, gender  or physical restrictions on this role (i.e. does not have to be a male performer) – they just need to be flashy and able to memorize a lot of text.

The Girl Who Swallowed a Cactus.

Directed by Rebecca Rogers

Rehearsals begin:
February 14th and will generally be Tuesday-Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons.

Opening night: March 17th

Performances will be on Fridays at 7, Saturdays at 3 and 7, and Sundays at 3pm.

Closing night: April 2nd

Role: The Dust Cloud.
Dust Cloud is full of creative energy, physical, and has excellent timing!  This role is the backbone of the show and they are onstage for its entirety.  Dust Cloud not only narrates, but they interject during dialogue… hence the excellent timing requirement!  The show is quirky, poignant, and a bit mysterious, and so is Dust Cloud.
