ABOUT THE PROJECT
OFT is producing a brand-new musical adaptation of Alice in Wonderland written by Lavinia Roberts with music by Ahmed Alabaca. The play is directed by OFT Artistic Director, Lily Raabe The script and music is currently under development. Our adaptation is set in modern-day. Alice is a teen filled with existential angst when faced with the world around them. Rather than facing the world, they often escape into fantastical worlds through gaming. When they tumble down the rabbit hole they find themselves in a magical world that is parallel to our own and facing a climate crisis. When Alice looks around, she realizes she has to step up and take action. Will you choose to do the same?
In addition to the play, the performance will feature an immersive and interactive pre-show experience that will further build the world of the play for our audience.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Artists interested in collaborating on this play should be interested in physical theater, immersive/experimental theater, intergenerational storytelling, puppetry, and more!
