Health and Safety Policy
General Policy
An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an
extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. Olympia Family Theater (OFT) makes
every effort to ensure our location is safe; however, we also ask that you help in keeping that space safe. OFT
cannot stop the spread of COVID-19 and by participating in any of our activities, you voluntarily assume all risks
related to potential exposures.
Vaccinations and Masks
OFT does not require vaccinations or mask wearing. However, we strongly encourage all our participants to be
fully vaccinated.
Health Policy
To ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers and guests, OFT requires that anyone entering the facility be free of
symptoms related to the COVID-19 virus, such as: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle/body
aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, or any cold or flu like symptoms. This extends to all members of your
family group as well.
If participants are presenting symptoms during activities, they will be given a mask and instructed to wear it for
the duration of the activity. If the participant refuses to wear the mask and is a minor, their parents or guardian
will be contacted to come pick them up.
If you don’t feel well. Stay home.
If you have recently been diagnosed with COVID-19, we ask that you follow the CDC’s recommendations on
isolation and proper masking while in recovery. OFT is happy to provide masks and COVID Rapid Tests as long as
we have them in supply.
Additional Measures
OFT has an improved air handler with high filtration levels to help stop the spread indoors. High contact areas
are regularly sanitized.
If someone develops symptoms of COVID-19 while at OFT, the person will be separated from the group (with
supervision from an OFT office manager) until they are able to leave the facility.
If a staff member tests positive for COVID-19, all group members that came into contact with that person will be
notified. Additional resources will be shared at that time.
Should you have any questions about these procedures, please email our staff at or call the
OFT office 360-570-1638.
