This script calls for teens and adults comfortable with puppeteering. Those who can play musical instruments will do so as part of their characters – bring your instrument to your audition! We want to hear you play (piano will be provided). There is also a magician and magician’s assistant in the script so we’d also be thrilled to see your magic skills.
Characters we will be casting:
Mama Luna – a masked adult
Sol/Ursa – a giant bear woman
Nyx – a teenage girl on a grand adventure
Tullimora, the forest witch – a very large puppet character who plays the piano
Axl – a teenage “city kid/orphan with a heart of gold””
Wendle the Wonderful – A terrible, power hungry, foolish magician (adult)
Wendle’s assistant – any age or gender.
There will also be 4-5 ensemble roles available, including two voice narrators.
The show may also include musicians who do not speak but stay onstage the entire show.
