Auditions for The Alphabetastics!

AUDITIONS start at 6:15pm on Monday February 21st and Tuesday February 22nd at Olympia Family Theater.

The Alphabetastics! is a workshop premiere musical by the creative team behind Cinder Edna

This all new original musical adventure takes place in 3rd Grade Halonah’s bedroom where her imaginary friends are the letters of the alphabet and an expression of her creative and emotional life. Halonah’s world is turned upside down when she learns she is having a baby sister.


CAST SIZE: a maximum of 10

Adults and Youth (10 and up) are encouraged to audition

** Masks are required during auditions. We will also be checking vaccination status during check-in and all participants must be vaccinated.

OFT values inclusion and supports casting of all genders and ethnic backgrounds for every show.

We will do cold readings, singing, movement, and improv activities. We will teach a section of a music and hear everyone sing individually and/or in small groups, and learn a short combination/dance in small groups. (Sides and music samples will be provided.)

  • Please arrive about 15 minutes early to fill out forms to start on time
  • Dress comfortably for movement
  • Prepared songs or monologues are not needed
  • Bring a resume, if you have one
  • Bring calendar to list any schedule conflicts you have in March/April/May 2022

  • Many of our shows feature youth performers alongside adult performers. Be sure to look at the audition details to see if the show calls for young artists.
  • OFT has many educational programs where youth (age 5 and up) can sign up and participate in the creative process of different aspects of producing a play and learning or honing their theatrical skills.
