Synopsis: This stirring adaptation of the Newberry Award-winning book is set in Copenhagen in 1943. Young Annemarie and her sister face soldiers, interrogations, fierce dogs, personal danger, the loss of loved ones and their darkest fears as they try to help their friend Ellen and her family escape across the ocean to safety in Sweden. This adaptation has all the drama, adventure, and humor that have made this story a best seller.
