Why Be a Sponsor?

July 2013

Here it is- our 8th season! And what a season we just ended! This year we successfully staged three world premier productions written by local playwrights, including our first full production in the OFT Playspace on State Street, where we have been offering school break camps and daytime performances for the pre-school crowd. We also expanded our “On the Move” touring program and these performers will represent OFT at the Proctor Arts Festival in Tacoma.

Olympia Family Theater is developing a regional reputation, and we couldn’t be prouder of all the hard work and support of our Olympia theater community. Our success depends on the generosity of individual and business donors- people like you! Your support helps OFT serve our mission of making theater accessible by providing:

  • Affordable ticket prices
  • Thrifty Thursdays- where patrons pay what they can afford for tickets
  • 250 complimentary tickets each year to clients of social service organizations in the area
  • Scholarships for kids who might not otherwise be able to participate in our week-long theater camps or youth productions

The beginning of season eight has us excited for another original script, this time with puppets! We are also growing our daytime performances in conjunction with our school-touring program to provide even more youth with access to the riches and variety of live theater. Our continued, measured growth can only occur with the essential backing of our friends in the Olympia business community. We thank you in advance for becoming an OFT sponsor, or for continuing your generous support by renewing your sponsorship. We hope to see you at the theater!
