Alice in Wonderland
Ages: 7 to 13
Schedule: June 20-24, 9am-3pm
Rehearse and perform this classic tale in one week!  This adaptation has great parts for all campers, where nonsense makes quite good sense.

Candyland
A
ges: 5 & 6
Schedule: June 20-24, 9:30am-12pm
Sweet adventures, games, and a song built into a week-long creation of our own story.  Students learn how to work together as an ensemble and use their voices, bodies and imaginations to perform the story on our last day.

WEEK 2 June 27- July 1

Musical Theater for ages 7-10
Ages: 7 to 10
Schedule: June 27- July 1, 9am-3pm
Your director/choreographer will introduce you to essential dancing, singing and acting skills while you rehearse and perform at least two ensemble numbers.  Students will work at using dance and well-crafted songs to develop strong characters and engaging.

Frog & Toad
Ages: 5 & 6
Schedule: June 27- July 1, 9:30am-12pm
Using the frog and toad stories as a jumping off point, students will learn how to work together as an ensemble and use their voices, bodies and imaginations to create a performance for friends and family on the last day.

WEEK 3 July 5-8

The Day the Crayons Quit
Ages: 7 to 13
Schedule: 4 DAY !! July 5-8, 9am-3pm (T-F)
What would you do if you opened your box of crayons to find out they left?  Find out as we use this story book as a jumping off point for a play of our own making. Beige Crayon is tired of playing second fiddle to Brown Crayon. Black wants to be used for more than just outlining. Blue needs a break from coloring all those bodies of water. And Orange and Yellow are no longer speaking—each believes he is the true color of the sun.

Wild Things
Ages: 7 to 13
Schedule: July 11-15, 9am-3pm
Don’t forget to sharpen your claws for this week of exciting stories, (including of course Where the Wild Things Are) rhythm, movement, improvisation, arts and crafts and going a little WILD!

Mixed Up Fairy Tale
Ages: 7 to 13
Schedule: July 18-22, 9am-3pm
In our story, the Grimm brothers are working on a fairy tale book when suddenly a terrible gust of wind flings open the door and blows the pages everywhere!  Find out what happens as we rehearse and perform this hilarious show, all in one week.

Hungry Caterpillar
Ages: 5 & 6

Using “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” and other Eric Carle stories as a jumping off point, students will learn how to work together as an ensemble and use their voices, bodies and imaginations to create a performance for friends and family on the last day.

Teen Improv 1
Ages: 13 to 18
Schedule: July 18-22, 4-6pm
Try something new or gain more experience doing something you love. Practice a variety of improv games and formats. In all of them, we learn how to say “yes, and …!”

Comedy Sketches
Ages: 7 to 13

Students will explore what makes something funny, and will spend the week working hard and laughing a lot.  The camp will culminate in a performance of collected jokes, comic sketches and a lot of laughter!

Millions of Cats
Ages: 5 & 6

Teddy Bear Stories
Ages: 5 & 6
Schedule: Aug. 8-12, 9:30am-12pm
Each camper will bring one stuffed animal from home to be a part of our play each day! Using picture books about bears, students will learn how to work together as an ensemble and use their voices, bodies and imaginations to create a performance for friends and family on the last day.

Stage Craft!
Ages: 11 to 14
Schedule: Aug. 8-19, 1-4pm
Hands on learning about scenic design and painting, stage management, lights and sound in this two week camp where each student will be a part of the production team for Friday’s camp shows, “Oz” and “Stories Under the Big Top”.

WEEK 9 Aug. 15-19

Stories Under the Big Top
Ages: 7 to 13
Schedule: Aug. 15-19, 9am-3pm
Rehearse and perform this fun play in one week.  Watch some of the greatest stories on Earth come alive under the big top!  It’s a circus full of laughter and lively storytelling with a full cast of characters, including a troupe of clowns!

Animal Crackers
Ages: 5 & 6

Bunyip

Explore imaginary creatures from Australia.  Bunyip stories will inspire a week of exploration, acting, singing, and creative fun- culminating in an original adaptation of  “The Bunyip of Berkely’s Creek” for performance.

Heroes & Villains

Registration Deadlines:
You may register up to the start of class provided there are still spaces available.

Cancellation Policy:
If you cancel your child’s registration after it has been processed but at least one week before the first day of class/camp, we will refund tuition less a registration fee, $25.
If you cancel your registration with less than the required notice, no refund will be given.
Olympia Family Theater reserves the right to cancel any class/camp if enrollment is insufficient. If OFT cancels the class/camp, any tuition paid will be refunded in full.
